Photomosaics - Additional Samples
In the following examples, the photomosaic is made up of small images 50x50 pixels in size, 48 along
the narrow side and 64 along the long side, for a total of 3,072 small images. The original database of
images consists of 893 pictures. Each of these is made into three square versions so that the database
actually contains 2,679 images. When selecting images the program tries to find previously unused images
so that the most variety of the original images is used.
Il Gatto
The first example features a photomosaic of a cat in an village in Italy.
We then have a look at three details, the nose, the ear, and one of the dark spots.
Arc de Triomphe
The second example is a photomosaic of a picture of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France.
We then have a look at three details, the top edge, the inner arch, and the side edge.
Ponte Vecchio
The third example is a photomosaic of a picture of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, Italy.
We then have a look at three details, one of the buildings, an arch on top, and one over the water.
Iguana
The fourth example is a photomosaic of a picture of an iguana on the island of Bonaire.
We then have a look at three details, the eye, some skin folds, and the jaw line.
Mary Kay Ash
The fifth example is of Mary Kay Ash.
We then have a look at three details, the eye, the lips and the necklace.
